Suffolk juniors shine at Bury St Edmunds Congress
At this year’s Bury St Edmunds Chess Congress, some of the Suffolk juniors took part in the Intermediate and Minor sections.
Rowan Kent and Oliver Ferris both share third place in the Intermediate section and Nickolay Starodubcevs-Snaiders won the best junior prize in the Minor section.
The Bob Jones Trophy is awarded to the highest-scoring junior playing in the Bury League or Suffolk League from the highest section in which a score of 1.5 points is achieved. This year, congratulations go to Ruben Nangalia Evans from Linton, who achieved 2.5 points in the Open section.
